About EU Picks

EU Picks exists because finding EU-based software alternatives shouldn't be this hard. Most comparison sites list tools without actually testing them. We do things differently.

Every comparison on this site comes from hands-on experience. I've installed the tools, clicked through the dashboards, and run them on real projects. When I say Plausible's script is 1 KB, it's because I measured it. When I say Matomo's interface feels dated, it's because I've used it alongside modern alternatives.

The focus is on EU-based, GDPR-compliant software for one simple reason: legal clarity. After Schrems II, many businesses are stuck in a legal gray zone with US tools. EU alternatives eliminate that uncertainty.

This isn't a "everything EU is perfect" site. Some EU tools are worse than their US counterparts. I'll tell you when that's the case. The goal is honest information, not blind advocacy.
